Where an unrepentant geek talks about Battlestar Galactica & Life • Est. 2009

I am speaking of Tom Zarek and Felix Gaeta’s major miscalculation in their mutiny and coup aboard Galactica: They forgot about Laura Roslin.

How stupid was that?

And can they compound stupidity? It would appear so from the preview for next week.

It’s a really bad idea to try her admiral for treason and put him in front of a firing squad while she is aboard a cylon baseship with more nukes than you have. REALLY BAD IDEA when you consider she loves said admiral and he’s the only person she trusts to lead the people to safety. Now, toss in that she’s dying from cancer and has nothing to lose personally aside from Adama.

Seriously, guys, I cannot communicate how COLOSSALLY STUPID this move is.

There’s a part of me that laughs every time I see Roslin in that promo telling them she’s “coming for all of them.” I can’t wait to see their reaction to that. In fact, I find myself ridiculously gleeful at the prospect of exactly how surprised they’re gonna be.

My friends, the mutineers have awoken a sleeping giant with a will of iron and an ability to be ruthless in ways that Adama is not.

Bring it on, Madam President. Give ‘em hell.
