Everyday Bill Adama Cubee autographed

I had the chance to meet actor and activist Edward James Olmos at the Dallas Comic Con 2010 and he was awesomely kind enough to sign one of the Bill Adama cubees I designed.

Mr. Olmos was very warm and approachable, and an all-around gentleman. It was my pleasure and honor to meet him and to hear him speak. His passion for social change and equality is admirable, inspirational, and contagious. He makes me want to be a better citizen of this world.

If you’re looking for a light, cool and refreshing sandwich, try this standby from our family kitchen, a cucumber sandwich spruced up with a few fresh herbs, a light spread of cream cheese and a dash of salt.

What you’ll need…

  • Cucumber
  • Bread (of your choice)
  • Fresh Dill
  • Fresh Chives (chopped)
  • Whipped Cream Cheese (the reduced-fat variety)
Fix it up…

Spread a light layer of cream cheese on one side of the bread, sprinkle chopped chives lightly across, layer with cucumbers and a few pinches of fresh dill, then salt lightly to bring out the flavors.
