I've been curious for a while now about hooking up my MacBook to my 47" Vizio HDTV and I finally indulged my inner geek by purchasing a couple components (mini-DVI to DVI adapter and a DVI to HDMI cable) to help me do so.

All the news that’s fit to … iPhone app?

Syfy has launched a Caprica-related iPhone app called, appropriately, The Caprican, which delivers up news, entertainment and sports headlines from the fictional society of Caprica itself, and the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.

It’s an intriguing endeavour that I find rather fun to read. What do you think, fellow iPhone users and Caprica and Battlestar Galactica fans?

A while back NBC Universal released an awesomely fun app that has no practical purpose, but definitely amuses the unrepentant geek and BSG fan in me: Cylon Bobbleheads.

After launching the app, you choose either the old-style or new-style Cylon Centurion and then give your iPhone a little shake to make its head bobble. Even more awesome … it has sounds and it’s FREE!

Check out the screencaps:
